Different from other typical "job networking" groups, this is a full-service, Christian-based support network in a "giving" and not a "taking" environment. Wednesday meetings are a safe place to share, to assist each other with advice, emotional support, leads, practice for our 60-second elevator speeches, resume critiques, sharpening interviews, maximizing use of the internet, and contacts.
At this time we have a paid professional, Valerie Ness, who helps with detailed critiques of resumes, cover letters and difficult interview situations. She attends every other Wednesday. She is an expert in the field and brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to share. With 20-30 people attending, professional career coaches work with us three Wednesdays a month, and once a month is reserved for addressing attendees' "hot issues".
JobSeekers has helped 200 people, from as far away as Loveland and Colorado Springs, to find jobs; and these colleagues continue to serve as sources of information and referral as well. Meetings and membership are not open to persons promoting "Networking Marketing", "Multi Level Marketing", or "Commission-only" opportunities to the JobSeekers.
