adult choir

The choir sings a wide range of music, from classical to gospel, at two or more services a month between mid-September and late-May. The choir also sings at the Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Easter services. Additionally, the choir sings at each baptism, sings a blessing to the young people at confirmation on Reformation Sunday, and conducts a “Sermon of Song” the first Sunday of May where the choir sings its favorite anthems from the season.

We always welcome new members in all voice parts. You do not need to be a trained musician, just be able to carry a tune and love to sing.

Rehearsals

The choir rehearses every Sunday from 9:15 am - 10:15 am. Additional rehearsals may be required in preparation for special events. In August, we gather for a retreat to rehearse and get to know each other better.

children's choir

Lord of the Hills offers two vocal choirs for children:

• Angel Choir: 3-years-old - Kindergarten
  Rehearses Wednesdays from 6 pm - 6:30 pm in the choir room.
• Hosanna Choir: 1st - 5th Grade
  Rehearses Wednesdays from 6:30 pm - 7pm in the choir room.

The children choirs sing at either the 8:00 am or 10:30 am service one Sunday a month. They frequently incorporate motions and rhythm instruments to enhance their musical message.

Both choirs rehearse and perform from September through the second Sunday in May.

instrumental music

Do you play an instrument or did you in high school or college and would like to brush that old instrument off? Would you be willing to share your music with our congregation? We are now forming instrumental ensembles to play for worship services. Mark IV is a worship band that plays the third Sunday of every month for our worship services. They play original contemporary Christian music as well as popular contemporary Christian music..

bell choir

Bells on the Hill, a group of beginner and experienced adult ringers, provides music for one worship service a month as well as for Christmas and Easter services. Bells on the Hill plays on a 3-octave set of Schulmerich handbells and rehearses every Sunday 11:45 am - 12:45 pm, September through May.

youth handchime choir

This choir for 3rd through 7th graders plays a 3-octave Malmark set for worship approximately every other month.
