Volunteers needed for 2008!

We are looking for people to lend their time and talent for 2008. If you have not already done so, complete the Time and Talent form and email it to pbillington@lordofthehills.org.

The following positions are needed at both the 8 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. services. Instructions are provided for everything. Please let Pat know if you’d like to help with any of these duties and which service you attend. Remember, middle and high school youth are welcome as well.

• Altar: Readys the altar for worship and prepares for communion (fill cups with grape juice and chalices with wine) – takes about 15 minutes before worship and 10 minutes after service.
• Assistant Minister: Reads prayers and aids the Pastor in the distribution of communion.
• Communion Assistant: Helps the Pastor and Assisting Minister during communion by pouring the wine into the communicant’s cup.
• Communion Bread: Provides the bread for communion (purchased or homemade … either is welcomed).
• Cup Washer: Washes the communion cups after each service.
• Greeter: Stands near the entrance and welcomes each worshiper who enters the building.
• Reader: Reads the First and Second Lessons during the worship service.
• Usher: Hands out the bulletins, passes the offering baskets, and escorts worshipers to communion.
