TAKE 5 - Keep Learning to live from a place of LOVE

Take 5- a candy bar, a break, a safety term, a  boy band, and a strategy for teaching self-regulation to name just five items that come up with a search of that phrase. This year I hope you will consider taking 5 weeks to explore living from a place of deep love. I hope you will accept this invitation to engage in deepening your love and connection with God, within yourself and with other people. Will you take the less than 5 minutes it takes to read this?

This Lenten season you are invited to explore the 5 Love Languages of Lent alongside the Faith5 as together we enter into learning and practicing intentional ways to deepen our understanding, experience and connection with God, ourselves and one another.

We will host 5 Wednesday evenings of interactional community building and connecting starting February 25, 2026 at 6pm. We will use the format of the Faith5 as we share highs and lows, read scripture and focus on one of the 5 love languages, talk about what we are learning and do some creative activities to expand our learning, pray together and practice blessing one another. We will also share in Holden Evening Prayer twice on Wednesdays February 25 and March 25 at 7pm following the 6pm learning time.

Throughout these next 5 weeks I hope that you will find new and creative ways to experience God’s love and to share God’s love. Each Sunday we will preview the love language for the upcoming Wednesday. “Let love have the run of the house” is a phrase I often repeat to remind myself to be rooted in love. I hope you will join me in continuing to learn to also let love have more and more room in your heart. My intention is that in this season we will be intentional in how we grow in faith together as we explore finding new ways to follow Jesus’ instruction to love God with our entire selves and love ourselves and one another deeply and dearly. It's one of things our whole world needs now is love, deep love that connects, heals and binds us to one another.
