    Let Your Light Life Shine!

Light. The full moon was bright this morning. The sun reflecting off the snow necessitates the use of sunglasses today. Even in the deep of winter there is light and today it is a bright light. We are almost ten days from the shortest day/longest night of the Winter Solstice in the western hemisphere. As we take our next full trip around the sun- 365 days until we are here again -I invite you to reflect upon the precious power of light. Light. Electricity, sunshine, fire, sta

    Keep It Simple Christmas

"Tis a gift to be simple. Tis a gift to be free. Tis a gift to love God and know that God loves me." This Christmas 2020 here is my invitation to you: keep it simple. Let Christmas be all about love. The Love of God comes in our form, flesh and blood, to bear witness to the deep and abiding love God has for us. Let love have the run of the house. Let in love. Let go and Let God. Let the change you want to see in the world begin with you. Let love be your motive. Let there be peace in your heart.

    Repeat the Sounding Joy

You are what you eat. You heart hears what you repeat. What is on “repeat” in your heart and mind these days? As we are half way through the season of Advent I invite you to investigate a spiritual practice to aid in the call to Joy for Advent week 3. Here is a tool to help you to “pray without ceasing”. In the Contemplative Prayer tool box choosing an Active Prayer phrase allows one to “pray without ceasing”. This weekend we hear 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 . Paul encourages the

    Advent Peace

No God- No Peace. Know God- Know Peace. The framed quote above was given to me years ago. I have moved it from one office to another over the years. It reminds me to seek the calm in the midst of life that has many changes and challenges, heartaches and heartbreaks, hopes and dreams. This Advent season I want to invite you into a peaceful practice; Examen. Examen is a daily prayer asking for God's light to understand and appreciate the day. It is a practice to end your day co
